Noble of Clan Saiciae, Nochet. Young itinerant gentleman scholar.
History
My paternal grandfather Xerra Hippiaves fought in Grizzly Peak 1582 and was slain by foul Moon spirits.
His son Xenotar married into house of Saiciae and lived his life as gentleman with estates close to Nochet. Wise and peaceful he only ever campaigned at the time of Graymane's barbarian invasion.
My mother's mother Mirava was of house Saiciae and involved in battles during Lunar troubles of Holy country in 1597 and again during Lunar Feint to the Sea. She survived both campaigns and retired from active adventuring but remains a venerated member of our family.
My mother Valinyr of Saiciae was an illustrious daughter of her house – one of the few who have seen Harrek the Berserk in combat and lived to tell the horrible tale. She also fought in defence of Esrolia against Graymane but died during the great winter of 1621, while making sure rest of family were fed.
I was raised as befits a gentleman, learning my letters from sages of Lhankor Mhy and training both in palestra and hippodrome. My first campaign 1623 was in siege of Nochet where I fought with what some call great glory along King Broyan. Next year I rode at Pennel Ford, where I got an arrow to my thigh, one that's bite I can still feel when the weather is getting cold and damp. I saw the Dragon rise and to day I sometimes wake up as looking into those huge, golden reptilian eyes.
Despite my hatred of our traditional enemies I have gotten intrigued by their weird history and wish to pen down the downfall of this foul empire. For these reasons I have studied history of the Red Empire and aim to travel abroad in search of more sources and insights into what really has taken place in the last fifty years. People who remember are getting rare and stories are forming into legends already.
