Crane Island

An offshore mudflat island a bit under half a day's reed-boat travel or horse-distance from Nochet, to the South, through the marches. The village used to belong to a community, but the Wyter has been badly hurt. The area is notable for small penguins that prey on humans.

A short way offshore is a smaller island inhabited by birds that are some sort of man-eating crane or heron. These may or may not be magically related to the bloodthirsty penguins.
